Item Types
Below is a guide on the different item types and their application within the system.
Per-character items, calculate the item price based on the number of selected characters for each item. This feature is especially useful for customizable products, such as embroidery, where the price varies with the level of personalization.
Placeholder items, are used to create items to be sold individually with different prices, due to slight differences in size or quality, yet grouped together and sold from a single inventory set.
Non-inventory items, do not keep track of item inventory and ignore the On-Hand amount calculation.
Group items, are used to create an item to be sold automatically as a set with additional items. Once set as a group item, an additional tab will appear where the group items can be selected.
Voucher items represent gift cards, and when scanned or entered, a pop-up will appear allowing the voucher to be created.
Standard items, all basic items.
Measured items are products priced based on weight.
