As part of our commitment to providing a reliable and seamless customer experience, we will be transitioning from the current credit card processing gateway, USAePay, to our new payment gateway, FCPay. This change is being made due to increasing service disruptions and downtime experienced with the existing platform. The new gateway will bring numerous improvements and enhancements to our system.
The new FCPay Credit Card tender consolidates all processing options into a single tab. These options include device swipe, tap or chip, NFC Contactless Payments (Including Apple and Google Pay), manual card number entry, and the use of cards saved on file. Please note, if you are not yet set up to accept tap-and-chip cards, we advise and strongly encourage you to do so soon, as swipe cards are more prone to security risks and declines.
The transition is scheduled to begin July 8th and will be released gradually across our servers. Going forward, all newly saved credit card information will be stored with the new FCPay gateway. To ensure a smooth experience and minimize disruptions, existing payment methods stored through USAePay will remain available for 90 days following the transition and will then be permanently removed from the system.
As part of this update, you will notice a few changes within the payment screen:
-
The new FCPay payment tender, named Credit Card in the system, will appear at the top of the tender list and should be used for all future credit card transactions and card storage.
-
The existing USAePay tender will be relocated to the bottom of the tender list. (This tender may currently be named differently in the system, such as Credit Card, Tap CC, etc.; in such cases, it will be renamed to USAePay once the new FCPay Credit Card tender is enabled)
-
After 90 days, the USAePay tender and any Credit Cards saved with that gateway will be permanently removed.
This upgrade represents another step in our continued investment in advancing technology, security, and service excellence. We are confident that FCPay will deliver a more dependable, secure, and efficient payment experience.
See the FCPay Credit Card Tender Guide for a help guide on the new FCPay tender.
